Michael Santander is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and dedicated music educator based in Tucson, Arizona. With over 25 years of private cello teaching, he brings his students a wealth of knowledge and passion. 

He offers private cello lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, tailoring his instruction to individuals' goals—whether it’s preparing for college auditions, enhancing orchestral performance, or pursuing personal enjoyment. His teaching philosophy emphasizes technical proficiency and expressive playing, aiming to make playing the cello the most enjoyable part of a student’s day.
Beyond teaching, Michael is an active performer, collaborating with ensembles, bands, and recording artists. He has worked in the music products industry since 2001 and is the former president of the National Association of Music Merchants Young Professionals (NAMM YP). His work on the NAMM Board of Directors brought him to Washington, DC, where he met with members of Congress to advocate for music education. He has been a featured speaker at the University of Arizona's Cello Congress and serves on the board of directors for the annual event, and is a member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA)

Michael lives in Tucson, AZ, with his wife, son, and two adorable dogs.
